In the design of riveted structure, the riveting joint form is usually selected according to the bearing condition and specific requirements according to the riveting specifications, and the relevant structural parameters, rivet diameter and quantity are confirmed. The length of rivet depends on the type of rivet and the shape after riveting. It can be calculated according to the recommended formula, and can also be selected from the recommended table. So what are the precautions of rivet structure design? The rivet manufacturer will give a brief introduction here:
1. Generally, the riveting thickness shall not exceed 5 times of the rivet diameter.
2. The bearing capacity of punching riveting is about 20% lower than that of drilling riveting.
3. The number of rivets parallel to the load direction shall not exceed 6 at most, but shall not be less than 2. The rivet diameter in the same structure shall be as uniform as possible, and shall not exceed 2 at most.
4. When multiple rows of rivets are used for beams, the rivets shall be staggered as far as possible to advance the strength factor of riveting.
5. The allowable stress of rivets made at the construction site shall be reduced appropriately.
6. When the multi-layer plates are riveted, the interfaces of each layer plate shall be staggered.
7. When the thickness of the plate is greater than 4mm, the edge shall be restrained; when the thickness of the plate is less than 4mm and the requirement for tightness is high, the linen cloth coated with lead lead can be placed between the steel plates to obtain tightness.
